Pasteur Cum Vaccine Institute (PCVI) Unit

The unit used to produce Anti Rabies Vaccine (ARV) of nerve tissue origin. The vaccine was supplied at a subsidized rate to prevent rabies. Considering the scientific development and the drawbacks of nerve tissue vaccines, steps have been taken to switch over for production of tissue culture vaccine.
